If you've been looking to give your living room a whole new character, leather furniture might be the way to do it. There's much going on in it you can just let it sit with a few trimmings in a minimalist concept or make it dance and shine in an eclectic number. Either way, you add a new length to your living room space. Or you can be brave and find a way to make it stand out as bedroom furniture. Character is what leather furniture is all about and, yes, it's not just for the rich and famous. You can actually take that classy leather sofa home without expenditure a fortune. And even if you're no leather connoisseur, there are tips to help you get leather-smarty.
Baking Soda: To brighten dirty leather couches, one should resort to baking soda treatment. Make one cup of salt water, by adding cup sea salt into cup of tap water. To this salt water, add 2 tbsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. of flour. Mix well, and wipe it down the couches using a wet cloth. Then, use a dry cloth to wipe off the mixture. The leather couch will regain its lost shine!
If you are planning to remodel your living room decor, then replacing the old sofas with faux leather ones will be an ultimate option, especially in case you have small kids in the house. It is comparatively cheaper and easier to maintain than pure leather. Don't worry for the appearance, as a faux leather sofa looks very similar to pure leather types. In fact, you cannot make out the difference unless you touch it.
